need help guys, tried moving 2400 usdc from solana to arbitrum using wormhole bridge 3 days ago transaction shows complete on solscan but nothing arrived on arb side. support just keeps saying wait for finalization but im gettin stressed. is it common thing and im overthinking it?

Check the transaction hash on both sides. Wormhole's been having validator issues since last upgrade. If the transaction shows complete on Solana side but not claimed on Arbitrum, you need to manually redeem through their portal.
Go to wormholebridge portal, connect wallet, check "redeem" tab. Your transaction should appear there waiting for manual claim.

how do i find transaction hash i only have the solana one

Look @dyce wormhole transactions generate two hashes - origin chain and destination chain. If you only see Solana confirmation, destination transaction hasn't been processed yet. It can be validation delays (48-96h), insufficient juic on destination for claim, transaction stuck in guardian queue. Go browse wormhole with your tx hash, should show status

its loading forever doesnt show anything 😞

Oct Solana network upgrade introduced some validator incompatibilities affecting bridge operations. So several major bridges experienced delayed finality. i think your funds aren't lost - they're in the guardian validation queue.
Solana validators must reach consensus before guardians sign cross-chain messages and current validator participation rate dropped to ~87% after upgrade hich creates longer finalization times for bridges.
For now don't attempt another transaction, wait for validation (4-5 days), check wormhole status page for your transaction and once validated, manually redeem on Arbitrum side. Just stay calm

what is that guardian thing btw? folks who run the bridge?

guardians are validator nodes that observe transactions on source chain and sign messages allowing redemption on destination chain. wormhole uses 19 guardians, needs 13 signatures to validate cross-chain transfers. so current issue is Solana validator consensus delays causing guardians to wait longer before signing.

so basically im screwed until whenever they feel like processing it? what if i need to cancel and get it back
Unfortunately you can't cancel bridge transactions once initiated. Money locked until guardian validation completes. This is why it's better try with small amounts first.

"what if i need to cancel" holy shit the financial illiteracy. blockchain transactions are IRREVERSIBLE. just stick to paypal instead seriously

Not bad once hits 13 you can manually redeem on Arbitrum side. Based on current rate probably tomorrow or day after.
Make sure you have soem ETH on Arbitrum for the redemption transaction...
